Here at Archetype, we're all about making DeFi accessible to everyone. One of the ways we're streamlining the onboarding process is with social signup.

You can connect to Archetype and enjoy all of its features even if you don’t want to use a browser wallet. Just sign in with a social media account and you’re good to go!

How do I use social signup? And why do I need it? Let’s dive into it!

Why Social Signup?

Social signup allows users to access DeFi as easily as they would any other app they already use. It’s especially useful for new users unfamiliar with wallet setups or the complexities of private keys. This feature is another step toward making Archetype—and DeFi as a whole—more accessible to everyone, regardless of their technical expertise.

How to Use Social Signup on Archetype

Step 1: Open Archetype

First things first: to sign up with your social account, go to Archetype.

Step 2: Choose your social account

Next, click the blue ‘Connect wallet’ button. You should see a pop-up with five social media icons. Simply click on the icon for the account you want to use.

Important: Remember to not use a throw-away account, as the wallet will be directly tied to your social account.

Currently, you can sign up on Archetype with:

  • Discord

  • Farcaster

  • Github

  • Google

  • Coinbase

Step 3: Sign in to your social account

Lastly, follow the steps to log in to the social account of your choosing. They’ll be visible in a separate window.

Once you log in successfully, your wallet will be created for you, and tied to the social account used to create it.

That’s it, you’re done with your social signup on Archetype!

Now you can enjoy all the features Archetype has in store, such as gasless transactions, Price Protection, Active Protection, cross-chain swaps, and transaction bundling.
